Today is the first day that my thighs don’t feel like they’ve been mistaken as a super-bounce ball by a very bored yet hyperactive five year-old.
The peasants rejoice!
This past weekend, Dominic and I attended the annual Texas Geocaching Challenge - an event where geocaching teams from geographical areas in Texas complete against each other to see who can find the most caches in the course of a morning.
Dom and I decided to geocache in the hard hike part of the park. It would have been perfect had we had time to take breaks, but we were racing against the clock to get as many caches as we could for our team, so the only break I got was when Dom climbed up a cliff to locate a high point cache.
Needless to say, up until this morning my butt and legs were very sore. I’m glad I got the exercise and had time out in nature with my favorite person, but man, what a literal pain in the ass.
Our team came in third, and much to my chagrin, our team was comprised of a lot of sore losers who couldn’t take the defeat without accusing the north Texas team (who hosted the event this year) of cheating.
I was just happy to have been able to participate.
This coming weekend kicks off with me taking tickets at the Caedmon’s Call concert at my church, followed by moving on Saturday and cleaning on Sunday.
Everything after that is completely off my radar until March 31. I’ll let you know how it goes.
