So my life is really busy and tiring and uninspiring right now, so I’m basically letting you know (in case you haven’t figured it out) that I’m taking a break from blogging/writing. I’m sure a random post will pop up on here on rare occasions, but right now I need to spend my time and brain energy on other things.
This is only a temporary break.

I’m really looking forward to Thanksgiving. It has been a rough semester for me and I’m badly in need of a break. A four-day weekend should help, at least a little. I’ve been so out of sorts that I can’t create anything interesting, and half the time I can’t remember what I JUST read for my literature class.
Anyway, I only have to get through three odd days at work this week before the long weekend. Monday has me participating in two interviews (I’m on an interview committee for a position that we need to fill, and our two candidates are coming in tomorrow), going to class, then leaving early to go to the dentist for my regular visit, and then a trip to see my counselor, followed by some exercising and a lot of reading. Tuesday is a nine hour day with no lunch break, and Wednesday I’ve got a long lunch to spend some time with some good friends, since almost no one will be around, anticipating the holiday.
Thursday is Thanksgiving, which I will spend with my boyfriend and two guy friends. It will be a small meal. I’m even thinking of making cornish game hens instead of a turkey. We’ll see. I’ve never actually cooked either one on my own so either way it should be an adventure.
I will spend either Friday or Saturday vegging out, and the other day writing two papers so I can turn off my brain without any repercussions.
Sorry that’s all I’ve got to discuss. With all my brain power going toward remembering what I read for school, there’s not much energy left to write anything of great interest here.
But at least I’ve managed to post every day so far, which is quite a feat of strength in and of itself.

I can’t decide if I feel icky today because of allergies ( for those of you who don’t know, Austin is notorious for high pollen and mold counts, resulting in a populations where almost everyone has allergies), a cold that I’ve noticed has been going around that I might be getting (I hope not), or exhaustion from having cleaned out my closet yesterday.
My headache is coming back, the one I got rid of in church this morning while drinking contraband tea (we are not supposed to take food and drinks into the sanctuary but my head was pounding from the lack of caffeine, so I took a mug of tea in with me), and I can’t tell if I’m just thirsty, or if I inhaled too much dust while cleaning, or if I have a sore throat.
I now need to take a load of stuff down to my car so I can take it took goodwill and to my storage unit. However I don’t want to move.
I’d rather stay here and play Sid Meier’s Pirates (it’s an awesome PC game which I run on the windows side (which I only use for gaming) of my macbook) or watch some Jane Austen flick for the umpteenth time, or sleep.
I can’t believe tomorrow is already Monday. Is it me or are weekends shrinking in size? I can’t wait for the four-day weekend of Thanksgiving to get here. I need a break.
That being said, I think I’m going to load up my car before I fall asleep. I can always take my crap to the storage place later, but I”m sure my roommates would love it if I’d get my junk out of the living room. Then I can laze around and try to partake in some relaxation this weekend.
